Rent a house in Marseillan. This lovely fishing village in the deep-south of France is ideal for self-catering holidays. Enjoy the tranquility of an ancient village that has changed little over the centuries. Swallows' Nest is at least 500 years old - but has all the modern amenities - and a large garage. In the heart of the old village it is only a few metres from the old market with its modern shops yet it is tucked into the narrow streets that twist and turn within the old fortified walls (now just a memory). The historic port is an easy step and the new beach borders the Etang de Thau. A restful park with lots of games for the youngsters, is alongside the beach. Marseillan's fishing port is close - taste oysters straight from the water, there's nothing like it! Bring only your personal things. The first 10€ of electricity is free. Situated mid-way between the River Rhone and Spain , Marseillan is an ideal location for those who want a peaceful holiday, with the opportunity explore the area if they wish. There are super sandy beaches with shallow waters that are commercialised just enough to provide a happy seaside holiday. They are an especial delight in winter when they stretch, empty, as far as the eye can see.
